Which The Black Album song contains no guitar part performed by Kirk Hammett?

“Nothing Else Matters” contains no guitar part performed by Kirk Hammett on the album recording.

James Hetfield wrote and performed the song's guitar parts, while Lars Ulrich contributed to its composition. Hammett does appear in the music video and has performed the song live with Metallica, which is why listeners sometimes assume he played on the studio track.

The song is a power ballad and became one of Metallica's best-known compositions. Its orchestral arrangement was created by Michael Kamen, and the London Symphony Orchestra performed on the recording. The studio version was recorded at One on One Recording Studios in Los Angeles.

“Nothing Else Matters” was issued as the album's third single on April 20, 1992. It reached number six on the UK Singles Chart and became a staple of the band's live performances.
