Which team won the ICC Men's T20 World Cup in 2022?

England won the ICC Men's T20 World Cup in 2022. They defeated Pakistan by five wickets in the final at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on 13 November 2022.

Pakistan made 137 runs, but England's bowlers kept the target under control. Sam Curran was named Player of the Match after taking 3 wickets for 12 runs, while Ben Stokes anchored the chase with an unbeaten 52. England reached the target with six balls remaining.

The victory gave England their second men's T20 World Cup title. Their first came in 2010, when they defeated Australia in the final in Barbados. The 2022 triumph also made England the first men's team to hold the ODI World Cup and T20 World Cup titles simultaneously.

The final was a rematch of the 1992 ODI World Cup final, also played between Pakistan and England at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. England's campaign included a dramatic group-stage defeat to Ireland, but they recovered to beat India in the semi-final before overcoming Pakistan.
