Leeds United won Nottingham Forest versus Leeds United on the 2026–27 Premier League opening weekend.
Leeds won 1–0 away from home at the City Ground on Saturday 22 August 2026. The victory gave Daniel Farke’s side an immediate three-point start after returning to the Premier League.
Nottingham Forest were managed by Oliver Glasner for the season, while Leeds were captained by Ethan Ampadu. The match was one of the opening round’s low-scoring fixtures, with Leeds’s narrow margin producing a clean sheet.
The result is easy to misremember because several matches in the first round involved promoted clubs and tight scorelines. In this fixture, there was no draw: Leeds United won 1–0 against Nottingham Forest.
