Brentford hosted Tottenham Hotspur in the final Saturday match of the 2026–27 Premier League opening round.
The fixture was scheduled for Saturday 22 August 2026 at 17:30 BST. It followed four earlier Saturday matches and served as the day’s televised late fixture in the published schedule.
Brentford’s home ground, the Brentford Community Stadium, hosted the meeting. Tottenham Hotspur were one of the established Premier League clubs in the opening-weekend lineup, while Brentford had become a regular top-flight presence after promotion in 2021.
The Saturday programme began with Hull City against Manchester United at 12:30. Three matches were scheduled for 15:00 before Brentford and Tottenham brought the day’s league action to a close.
