Which team did Brentford host at 17:30 on Saturday of the 2026–27 Premier League opening weekend?

Brentford hosted Tottenham Hotspur at 17:30 on Saturday of the 2026–27 Premier League opening weekend.

The match was scheduled for Saturday, 22 August 2026, at Brentford Community Stadium. It was the final Premier League fixture on that Saturday, following three matches at 15:00 and Hull City versus Manchester United at 12:30.

Brentford Community Stadium is in west London and became Brentford's home in 2020. Tottenham Hotspur, also based in London, played the away fixture as the opening round's late Saturday visitors.

The pairing is easy to mix up with the Monday fixture, because another London club, Chelsea, also played away from home during the opening round. Chelsea's match was at Fulham on Monday, 24 August, while Tottenham's was at Brentford on Saturday.
