Which talk show won at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards with Jimmy Kimmel as host?

Jimmy Kimmel Live! won the Critics Choice talk-show award in 2026 with Jimmy Kimmel as host.

The late-night program combines a monologue, interviews, comedy sketches, celebrity appearances, and live musical performances. Kimmel has hosted the show since its debut, making the program’s title a direct reference to its presenter.

The award belongs to the talk-show category, which is distinct from the variety-special and scripted-comedy categories presented at the Critics Choice Awards. A talk show is structured around recurring hosting and guest segments, while a variety program may use a broader performance format.

The result is also easy to confuse with the Critics Choice award for Best Variety Series. That prize went to Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, whose program uses a news-comedy format rather than a conventional interview-driven late-night structure.
