Cindy Crawford launched the skincare line Meaningful Beauty with dermatologist Jean-Louis Sebagh.
Meaningful Beauty grew from a collaboration between Crawford and Sebagh, whose research and clinical practice were associated with anti-aging skincare. The brand used ingredients and concepts inspired by research into the antioxidant-rich melon known as cantaloupe charentais, a fruit cultivated in France.
The business extended Crawford’s career from modeling into beauty entrepreneurship. She had already been strongly associated with cosmetics advertising, including major work for Revlon, and her name gave the skincare line broad recognition among consumers familiar with her fashion and television career.
