Which studio developed the original Xbox game Fable?
Answer
Big Blue Box Studios
Answer
Big Blue Box Studios
Big Blue Box Studios developed the original Xbox game Fable.
Fable began as a project at Big Blue Box, a satellite studio founded by Dene and Simon Carter. Lionhead Studios, led by Peter Molyneux, supported the project and eventually became closely associated with its development and publishing relationship. Microsoft Game Studios published the Xbox version in 2004.
The role of Big Blue Box is often overlooked because Fable is widely described as a Lionhead game. Lionhead acquired Big Blue Box in 2003, before Fable was released, which helped merge the teams and made the studio credits more complicated than the common shorthand suggests.
Fable combined action role-playing with an unusual morality system. The protagonist's appearance could change according to choices and behavior, and the game presented Albion as a fairy-tale-inspired setting. Later entries expanded the series onto Xbox 360 and Windows.
