Which studio developed Spyro: A Hero's Tail?
Answer
Eurocom Entertainment Software
Answer
Eurocom Entertainment Software
Spyro: A Hero’s Tail was developed by Eurocom Entertainment Software.
Released in 2004, A Hero’s Tail was Eurocom’s entry in the original Spyro series. Vivendi Universal Games published it for the PlayStation 2, Nintendo GameCube and Xbox, making it a console adventure rather than one of the handheld titles developed by Digital Eclipse.
The project began development in late 2002 under the working title Spyro: The Dark Realms. Eurocom’s team aimed to produce a game that fit the established Spyro identity while responding to criticism of the glitch-prone Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly. The finished game returned to 3D platforming and added several abilities, including ledge grabbing, wall-kicking and multiple elemental breath attacks.
Players control Spyro as he explores the Dragon Realms, collects Light Gems and destroys Dark Gems that corrupt the environment. Toys for Bob is associated with other Spyro projects, Krome Studios developed later entries such as The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning, and Digital Eclipse made the Game Boy Advance adventures. None of those studios developed A Hero’s Tail.
