Which studio developed Crash Team Rumble?

The story behind the answer

Toys for Bob developed Crash Team Rumble.

Crash Team Rumble is a 2023 online multiplayer game in which two teams compete to collect and bank Wumpa Fruit while disrupting the opposing side. Toys for Bob, a studio known for working on several Crash Bandicoot projects, developed the game for Activision. Its release followed the studio’s development of Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time.

The game differs sharply from Crash Team Racing even though both titles use the Crash name. Rumble is a team-based platforming battle game rather than a racing game. Players choose heroes or villains with distinct roles and abilities, then fight across arenas while trying to score more fruit than their opponents.

Toys for Bob also designed the game around online, seasonal content. Its roster included familiar characters such as Crash, Coco, Cortex, Dingodile, Tawna, and N. Tropy, with later updates adding characters and content. Radical Entertainment, Vicarious Visions, and Beenox are all associated with other Crash projects, which makes them plausible but incorrect choices here.
