Which stadium hosted Fulham’s 3–2 defeat by Chelsea on the 2026–27 opening weekend?

Craven Cottage hosted Fulham’s 3–2 defeat by Chelsea on the 2026–27 opening weekend.

The west London derby took place on Monday 24 August 2026, bringing Matchweek 1 to a close. Fulham played at home beside the River Thames, while Chelsea travelled the short distance across London.

Chelsea won 3–2. João Pedro scored after only 31 seconds, Morgan Rogers added another goal, and Cole Palmer completed Chelsea’s scoring. Fulham replied through Josh King and Gonzalo García, but could not equalise.

Craven Cottage has been Fulham’s historic home since 1896, apart from periods when the club played elsewhere during redevelopment. Stamford Bridge is also in west London, but it is Chelsea’s ground, not the venue for this opening-weekend derby.
