Which stadium hosted Everton’s 2–0 win over Crystal Palace on the 2026–27 Premier League opening weekend?

The story behind the answer

Hill Dickinson Stadium hosted Everton’s 2–0 win over Crystal Palace on the 2026–27 Premier League opening weekend.

Everton defeated Crystal Palace at their new home on Saturday, 22 August 2026. The stadium is in Liverpool and replaced Goodison Park as Everton’s home ground for the season.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall scored for Everton, and Thierno Barry added a second goal after half-time. The result gave Everton their first opening Premier League win in five years and their first victory in eight top-flight matches.

The venue is easy to confuse with Goodison Park, Everton’s historic former ground, or Selhurst Park, Crystal Palace’s home stadium. Neither of those grounds hosted this fixture; Everton were the home side at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
