The north London stadium was the setting for the season’s first match on 21 August 2026. Arsenal played at home against Coventry City, one of the division’s newly promoted clubs.
Emirates Stadium has been Arsenal’s home since 2006, when the club moved from Highbury. It is located in Holloway, in the London Borough of Islington, and is one of England’s largest football grounds.
The match ended 3–0 to Arsenal. Highbury is a common mix-up because it was Arsenal’s former home, but the club had played competitive matches at Emirates Stadium for two decades by the start of this season.
