Which songwriter from OneRepublic co-wrote Beyoncé’s song “Halo”?

Ryan Tedder, the lead vocalist of OneRepublic, co-wrote Beyoncé’s song “Halo.”

Tedder wrote the song with Evan Bogart and Beyoncé, and he also co-produced it with Beyoncé. “Halo” was released in 2009 as a single from Beyoncé’s third studio album, I Am... Sasha Fierce. The song is a pop power ballad built around a large vocal melody and lyrics describing idealized love.

The song became one of Beyoncé’s most recognizable international hits. It reached the top ten in many countries and won awards, including a Grammy for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards.

Ryan Tedder is sometimes identified only through OneRepublic, but he has also written and produced songs for many other performers. “Halo” was not written by Max Martin or Timbaland, despite both being prominent pop and R&B collaborators associated with major artists. The songwriting credits specifically include Tedder, Bogart, and Beyoncé.
