Beyoncé had won 32 Grammy Awards by the end of the 2023 ceremony, the highest total ever achieved by any artist at that point. She reached the record when “Renaissance” won Best Dance/Electronic Music Album.
Her first Grammy wins came at the 42nd ceremony in 2000, when Destiny’s Child won for “Say My Name.” As a solo artist, she has won across R&B, pop, rap, dance and music-video categories.
The 2023 milestone surpassed the previous record held by Hungarian-British conductor Georg Solti, who had 31 wins. Beyoncé also became the artist with the most Grammy nominations among women, although nominations and wins are separate statistics. Her 32-win total refers to competitive Grammy Awards, not every honor from other organizations.
