“Golden” won Best Song at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards for KPop Demon Hunters.
The song is performed in the context of KPop Demon Hunters, an animated musical whose story follows a successful idol group with a secret supernatural mission. Its placement in the film makes the track part of both the narrative and the movie’s pop-music identity.
The credited songwriters and contributors included EJAE, Mark Sonnenblick, Ido, 24, and Teddy. The Critics Choice recognition went to the song itself, not to the film’s voice cast or to the score composer Ludwig Göransson, who won a separate award for Sinners.
Best Song is distinct from Best Score. Song awards honor an individual musical number, while score awards recognize the broader instrumental music written for a film. KPop Demon Hunters also won Best Animated Feature at the same ceremony.
