Which song did Beyoncé perform as Nala in the 2019 film The Lion King?

Beyoncé performed “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” as Nala in the 2019 film The Lion King.

The film is a photorealistic animated remake of Disney’s 1994 traditionally animated feature. Beyoncé voiced the adult Nala, while Donald Glover voiced Simba. Their characters perform the romantic duet “Can You Feel the Love Tonight,” a song originally written by Elton John and Tim Rice for the earlier film.

For the 2019 release, Beyoncé recorded a new version with Donald Glover. The soundtrack also included “Spirit,” an original song performed by Beyoncé and associated with the film’s visual album-style companion project, Black Is King.

These songs are often confused because both are strongly associated with Beyoncé’s Lion King work. “Circle of Life” opens the story and was performed by other cast members in the 2019 film, while “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” is the duet connected to Nala and Simba.
