Independent is the skate-truck manufacturer that has collaborated with Supreme on branded skateboard hardware.
Independent Truck Company is one of skateboarding’s best-known truck makers. Supreme’s work with the company connects the fashion label directly to the equipment used by skateboarders, rather than only to clothing or footwear.
A skateboard truck is the metal assembly mounted beneath a deck that holds the wheels and allows the board to turn. That makes Independent a hardware manufacturer, not a skate-shoe or wheel brand.
The answer is sometimes confused with other skateboard companies that have worked with Supreme. Vans, for example, is associated with Supreme through footwear, while Independent is specifically known for trucks.
