Which singer is Beyoncé’s sister?

Solange Knowles is Beyoncé’s younger sister and a recording artist in her own right.

Solange Piaget Knowles was born on June 24, 1986, in Houston, Texas, nearly five years after Beyoncé. She began performing and recording professionally as a teenager, later developing an acclaimed career built around alternative R&B, soul, funk and experimental pop.

Her albums include Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams, True, A Seat at the Table and When I Get Home. A Seat at the Table, released in 2016, reached number one on the Billboard 200 and included the single “Cranes in the Sky,” which won the Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance.

Solange and Beyoncé have occasionally appeared together publicly, but they have distinct musical careers. Solange is also known for directing visual projects and for her work in performance art and contemporary music.
