Shakira appears with Beyoncé on the hit song “Beautiful Liar.”
The song was released in 2007 as a single from the deluxe edition of Beyoncé’s album B’Day. Written by Beyoncé, Shakira, Amanda Ghost, Ian Dench, and others, it presents two women confronting the same unfaithful man. The track blends Beyoncé’s R&B-pop style with Shakira’s distinctive vocal and performance approach.
“Beautiful Liar” became notable not only for the collaboration but also for its dance-focused music video. Beyoncé and Shakira perform synchronized choreography, including the movement style associated with Shakira’s dance work. Their pairing gave the single strong international visibility.
The song reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped charts in several countries. It also earned a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals, making it one of Beyoncé’s most prominent early-career collaborations with another female superstar.
