Which singer appears with Beyoncé on the duet “Telephone”?

Lady Gaga appears with Beyoncé on the duet “Telephone.” The song was released in 2010 as a single from Gaga’s extended play The Fame Monster.

“Telephone” was written by Lady Gaga, Rodney Jerkins, LaShawn Daniels, Lazonate Franklin, and Beyoncé. The lyrics describe the pressure of an insistent phone call while someone is trying to enjoy a night out, and the production combines dance-pop and electronic influences.

Its music video continues a narrative begun in Gaga’s “Paparazzi” video. It features Gaga and Beyoncé as characters who escape confinement and embark on a chaotic road trip.

The collaboration is sometimes confused with “Video Phone,” a Beyoncé song from I Am... Sasha Fierce that features Lady Gaga. The two artists therefore worked together on more than one recorded track, but “Telephone” is the Gaga single on which Beyoncé appears.
