Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib is the Sikh Takht located at Anandpur Sahib.

Kesgarh Sahib stands at the site where Guru Gobind Singh inaugurated the Khalsa on Vaisakhi in 1699. It is therefore one of the most important places in Sikh history and one of the five Takhts, or seats of temporal authority, recognized by Sikh tradition.

The Takht’s name is closely connected with Anandpur Sahib, a city established by Guru Tegh Bahadur. The complex includes the gurdwara and a collection of historical weapons associated with Guru Gobind Singh and the Khalsa tradition.

The five Takhts are often confused because each name includes the honorific “Sri” and “Sahib.” Patna Sahib is in Bihar, Hazur Sahib is in Nanded, and the Akal Takht is at the Harmandir Sahib complex in Amritsar. Kesgarh Sahib is the one at Anandpur Sahib.
