Which Sikh Guru was born at Patna Sahib in 1666?

Guru Gobind Singh was born at Patna Sahib in 1666.

Born Gobind Rai, he was the only son of Guru Tegh Bahadur and Mata Gujri. His birthplace in Patna, Bihar, is commemorated by Takht Sri Patna Sahib, one of the five principal seats of Sikh authority. The site is also known as Harmandir Sahib Patna Sahib.

Guru Gobind Singh became the tenth human Sikh Guru in 1675 after the execution of his father. In 1699, he established the Khalsa and gave Sikh identity a more formal collective structure.

Patna is sometimes confused with Anandpur Sahib, which was the principal setting for many later events in Guru Gobind Singh’s life. Patna Sahib specifically commemorates his birth and childhood years.
