Which Sikh Guru founded the city of Kiratpur Sahib in 1627?

The story behind the answer

Guru Har Gobind founded Kiratpur Sahib in 1627.

Kiratpur Sahib is a historic Sikh town in present-day Punjab, India. Guru Har Gobind established it in the Shivalik foothills after spending years at other locations, including Amritsar and Kartarpur. The town later became closely connected with the Sikh Gurus and their family.

Guru Har Gobind was the sixth human Guru. His leadership is associated with the principle of miri and piri, joining spiritual authority with responsibility for justice and community protection. He also established the Akal Takht at Amritsar, though Kiratpur Sahib was founded separately.

The town became especially important during the time of Guru Har Rai and Guru Har Krishan, the seventh and eighth Gurus. It is therefore sometimes associated with those Gurus, but the conventional founding attribution is to Guru Har Gobind in 1627.
