Which Rayman game introduced the character Globox?
Answer
Rayman 2: The Great Escape
Answer
Rayman 2: The Great Escape
Rayman 2: The Great Escape introduced Globox, Rayman’s gentle blue companion and one of the series’ most recognizable characters. Globox joins Rayman during the fight against the Robo-Pirates who have invaded the world.
Although Globox is often associated with the later Rayman Origins and Rayman Legends games, his first appearance came much earlier, in Rayman 2. He is portrayed as kind, nervous, and physically comic, providing a contrast to Rayman’s more agile and determined personality.
Globox is not merely a background character. In Rayman 2, he helps establish the series’ expanded cast and appears in several story moments, including scenes involving his wife, Uglette. His family and recurring friendships became part of the broader Rayman mythology.
A common mix-up comes from Rayman Origins, where Globox became a playable character in local cooperative mode and gained much greater visibility. That popularity can make it seem as though Origins introduced him, but the character had already debuted in Rayman 2, released in 1999.
