Surah Hud tells the Quranic story of Noah's Ark and says that the Ark came to rest on Mount Judi.
Surah Hud is the eleventh chapter of the Quran. Its account describes Noah calling his people to faith, the building of the Ark, the coming flood, and the survival of Noah and those with him. Quran 11:44 says that the Ark settled on al-Judi after the command for the earth and sky to stop the waters.
This differs from Genesis, which refers to the mountains of Ararat. The two traditions therefore use different geographic names for the Ark's resting place. Mount Judi is commonly associated with a mountain area in southeastern Turkey near the Tigris region, although the exact historical location remains debated.
Noah is called Nuh in Arabic, and his story appears in several Quran chapters. Surah Hud provides one of the most substantial continuous Quranic accounts of the Ark and the Flood.
