Which player won the inaugural PDC Women’s World Matchplay in 2022?

Fallon Sherrock won the inaugural PDC Women’s World Matchplay in 2022.

The first Women’s World Matchplay was staged at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool, the same famous venue associated with the men’s World Matchplay. Sherrock defeated Aileen de Graaf in the final to become the event’s first champion.

The tournament was introduced as a dedicated PDC televised event for women players. Its creation followed increased visibility for women’s darts, including Sherrock’s breakthrough performances at the PDC World Championship.

The Women’s World Matchplay should not be confused with the women’s world championships run by other organisations, such as the WDF or the former BDO. Those events have separate histories, champions and qualification systems.
