Marc Guéhi scored Manchester City’s late equaliser against Bournemouth in the 2026–27 Premier League opener.
Bournemouth led 1–0 for most of the match after Marcus Tavernier opened the scoring. City’s response arrived in the 85th minute, when Guéhi headed in from a Rayan Cherki corner.
The equaliser changed the match completely. Manchester City added a second goal shortly afterward, with Joško Gvardiol scoring in stoppage time to make the final score 2–1.
The fixture was Guéhi’s first Premier League appearance for Manchester City after his move from Crystal Palace. It also marked a successful league debut for City manager Enzo Maresca, whose team avoided an opening-day defeat through the late turnaround.
