Anton Stach scored Leeds United’s late winner against Nottingham Forest in the 2026–27 opener.
Stach settled the match with a direct free kick in the 88th minute, giving Leeds a 1–0 away victory. His goal was especially valuable because the game had remained level deep into the second half.
The strike was also part of Stach’s growing record from outside the penalty area. The Premier League’s opening-weekend review noted that he had scored several long-range goals since the beginning of the previous season, establishing him as a dangerous set-piece and distance shooter.
Stach is sometimes confused with Jack Clarke, who scored Ipswich Town’s 90th-minute winner against Sunderland. Another nearby name is Keane Lewis-Potter, who opened Brentford’s 3–0 win over Tottenham.
