João Pedro scored Chelsea’s fastest-ever goal in a Premier League season opener against Fulham in 2026–27.
He scored after 35 seconds at Craven Cottage on Monday 24 August 2026. Chelsea eventually won the west London derby 3–2, completing the opening round with a victory.
João Pedro’s goal came after a through ball from Cole Palmer. Morgan Rogers added Chelsea’s second before half-time, and Palmer scored the third shortly after the interval.
Fulham responded through Gonzalo García and another second-half goal, but Chelsea held on. The goal is often confused with Palmer’s contribution because he both supplied the opening pass and scored later; however, João Pedro was the player credited with the first finish.
