Which peninsula contains Mount Sinai and connects Africa with Asia?

The story behind the answer

The Sinai Peninsula contains Mount Sinai and connects Africa with Asia.

It is a triangular landmass in Egypt, bounded by the Mediterranean Sea to the north, the Gulf of Suez and Suez Canal to the west, and the Gulf of Aqaba and Red Sea to the east and south. The Suez Canal separates Sinai geographically from mainland Africa, while the land bridge at its northeastern side links it with southwestern Asia.

Mount Sinai is traditionally identified in Jewish, Christian, and Islamic traditions as the mountain where Moses received the Tablets of the Law, although the exact historical location is debated. The peninsula includes the rugged South Sinai mountains and the northern coastal plain. Egypt has administered Sinai since the nineteenth century, except during periods of foreign occupation and conflict in the twentieth century.
