Which Palworld faction is described as a liberation movement?

The Free Pal Alliance is the Palworld faction described as a liberation movement.

Palworld’s setting, the Palpagos Islands, contains several rival human factions. The Free Pal Alliance is presented as a group organized around liberation, while its members and leaders form part of the game’s faction-based conflict. Its ideology is tied to the treatment and use of Pals, although the game’s world also undercuts the factions’ public identities with morally complicated characters and actions.

The faction is one of the groups whose leader acts as a major boss encounter. Players can meet faction members in the open world, fight their bases, and eventually challenge powerful faction leaders at towers. This makes the Free Pal Alliance important both to the game’s story framing and to its progression structure.

The name is easy to confuse with the Palpagos Islands Defense Force, which sounds like a political or military liberation organization but instead represents a defense faction. The Brothers of the Eternal Pyre are another separate group, associated with fire and their own leader and tower.
