Which Ontario peninsula contains Bruce Peninsula National Park and extends between Georgian Bay and Lake Huron?

The story behind the answer

The Bruce Peninsula is the Ontario peninsula extending between Georgian Bay and Lake Huron.

It forms a long, rugged projection from southern Ontario and is known for limestone cliffs, clear water, caves, forests and the dramatic escarpment landscape of the Niagara Escarpment. The peninsula’s northern tip reaches the Bruce Peninsula National Park and the Fathom Five National Marine Park, while Tobermory is its best-known community.

The region is part of the traditional territory of the Saugeen Ojibway Nation. The Bruce Trail follows the Niagara Escarpment through the peninsula, connecting it with a much longer hiking route across Ontario. It is sometimes confused with the nearby Niagara Peninsula, which lies farther south between Lake Ontario and Lake Erie. The two landforms are both in Ontario but are geographically separate.
