Which McDonaldland character was portrayed as the mayor of the fictional town?

Mayor McCheese was portrayed as the mayor of the fictional McDonaldland town.

The character had a human-like body and a large cheeseburger for a head, complete with familiar hamburger ingredients. His title made him the official civic figure of McDonaldland, the imaginary setting used in McDonald's advertising.

Mayor McCheese appeared alongside Ronald McDonald, the Hamburglar, Grimace, and other characters. These figures turned menu items and restaurant experiences into a playful story world aimed primarily at children.

Mayor McCheese is sometimes confused with Officer Big Mac because both represented authority figures in McDonaldland. Mayor McCheese was the town's mayor, while Officer Big Mac served as a police character. The distinction is reflected directly in their names and roles.
