Which LEGO theme was renamed LEGO Icons in 2022?

The LEGO Creator Expert product range was renamed LEGO Icons in 2022.

Creator Expert was a premium LEGO range associated with detailed display models, advanced building techniques and subjects aimed largely at older builders. Its products included modular buildings, vehicles, landmarks, amusement-park attractions and other large-scale designs. In 2022, LEGO reorganized and renamed the range as LEGO Icons.

The new name reflects the line’s emphasis on recognizable subjects and display models rather than a single construction style. LEGO Icons sets can include famous vehicles, buildings, botanical models and licensed entertainment properties. The change was a branding update, not the introduction of an entirely new building system.

This history can be confusing because many sets originally marketed as Creator Expert remain identified by collectors through their older branding. LEGO also continues to use Creator as a separate product family, generally associated with models that can be rebuilt into different forms.
