LEGO Star Wars set 75308 is the 2021 display model depicting R2-D2.
LEGO introduced set 75308 R2-D2 in 2021 as a large brick-built interpretation of the famous astromech droid. The model was designed for display while retaining several movable features, helping it appeal to both collectors and builders. Its subject is the blue-and-white droid who accompanies Luke Skywalker and other heroes throughout the original Star Wars saga.
This set is easy to mix up with later R2-D2 merchandise. LEGO set 75379, released in 2024, is another R2-D2 model, but it is a separate set with a different design and product number. LEGO has also made smaller R2-D2 figures and models in earlier Star Wars waves.
The number 75308 therefore identifies the 2021 large-scale R2-D2 display build, not every LEGO model of the character.
