Answer
LEGOLAND Billund
Answer
LEGOLAND Billund
LEGOLAND Billund was the first LEGOLAND amusement park, opening in 1968.
The park opened beside the LEGO factory in Billund, Denmark, on 7 June 1968. It was created to give visitors a destination where they could see large-scale models and experience attractions connected with the LEGO brand. Millions of people visited during its first season.
LEGOLAND Billund became the model for later parks in other countries. Its attractions have included miniature cities, rides, themed areas and large constructions made from LEGO bricks. The park remains closely connected to Billund, which is also the birthplace and headquarters location of the LEGO Group.
Later LEGOLAND parks opened in Windsor, California, Günzburg and other locations. Those parks are sometimes named first in international travel references, but Billund is the original LEGOLAND and the only one established in the same Danish town where LEGO began.
