On Her Majesty’s Secret Service
Answer
On Her Majesty’s Secret Service
On Her Majesty’s Secret Service features the mountain-top restaurant Piz Gloria.
The 1969 film uses the revolving restaurant on Switzerland’s Schilthorn as Blofeld’s alpine headquarters, presented in the story as the clinical research centre Piz Gloria. The location supplies the film with its snowy mountain setting, ski chases, helicopter sequences, and final assault.
Piz Gloria was not originally built as a Bond set. Its distinctive high-altitude structure was still under construction when filming took place, and the production helped finance completion of the restaurant in return for using it. Today, the site remains strongly associated with the film and is marketed as a Bond attraction. The movie stars George Lazenby in his only appearance as James Bond, with Telly Savalas playing Ernst Stavro Blofeld.
