Which James Bond film features 007 driving a BMW Z8?

The story behind the answer

The World Is Not Enough features James Bond driving a BMW Z8.

Released in 1999, the film gives Bond a silver BMW Z8 supplied by Q. The car is fitted with several espionage gadgets, including missiles and remote-control capability. Its most memorable fate comes when two helicopters cut it in half with circular saws during an attack at a construction site.

The BMW Z8 was a real roadster produced by BMW from 1999 to 2003. Its retro styling drew inspiration from the BMW 507, making it visually distinctive among Bond’s vehicles. The film’s use helped associate the model with the franchise even though its appearance is relatively brief.

Bond’s better-known BMWs include the BMW Z3 in GoldenEye and the BMW 750iL in Tomorrow Never Dies. The Aston Martin DB5 remains the series’ most iconic car, but it is not the vehicle featured in this question.
