Which island, also called Unguja, contains Zanzibar City?

The story behind the answer

Zanzibar Island, also called Unguja, contains Zanzibar City on Tanzania’s coast.

Unguja is the largest and most populated island in the Zanzibar Archipelago. Zanzibar City includes historic Stone Town, a major trading centre whose architecture reflects African, Arab, Persian, Indian, and European influences. The island is widely known for cloves and other spices, which helped give Zanzibar its “Spice Islands” reputation.

Zanzibar is often used as the name of the whole archipelago or the semi-autonomous Tanzanian region, while Unguja is the island’s more precise geographic name. Pemba is another major island in the archipelago, but it lies north of Unguja and does not contain Zanzibar City.
