Answer
Destiny's Child
Answer
Destiny's Child
Destiny's Child launched Beyoncé's music career as a member in the 1990s.
The group formed in Houston in 1990 under the name Girl's Tyme, when Beyoncé and several other young performers were still children. After changes in membership and management, the act became Destiny's Child. Its best-known lineup eventually consisted of Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams.
Destiny's Child achieved major success with songs including “Say My Name,” “Survivor,” and “Bootylicious.” Their self-titled second album was released in 1998, while The Writing's on the Wall followed in 1999 and helped establish the group internationally. The group became one of the best-selling female groups in music history.
Destiny's Child officially disbanded in 2006 after performing together for several years. Beyoncé then developed a successful solo career, but the group's music remained a major part of her early biography. Farrah Franklin and LeToya Luckett were also members during earlier stages, which is why older lineups can be confusing.
