Which German heavy metal band released the album 'Keeper of the Seven Keys Part II'?

The story behind the answer

The German heavy metal band that released “Keeper of the Seven Keys Part II” is Helloween. The album, more precisely titled Keeper of the Seven Keys: Part II, appeared in 1988 as the band’s third studio album.

Recorded in Hanover and released by Noise Records on August 29, 1988, the record helped establish Helloween as a leading force in the developing European power-metal scene. Its fast tempos, melodic guitar work, dramatic vocals and polished songwriting became a template for many later bands.

The album includes “Eagle Fly Free,” “Dr. Stein” and “I Want Out,” the last of which remains one of Helloween’s best-known songs. “I Want Out” was written by guitarist Kai Hansen, who later founded Gamma Ray after leaving Helloween. That connection explains why Gamma Ray is sometimes associated with the album, but it did not release it. Rhapsody and Blind Guardian are also German-associated power-metal acts, yet neither recorded this album. Helloween’s lineup included vocalist Michael Kiske, guitarists Kai Hansen and Michael Weikath, bassist Markus Grosskopf and drummer Ingo Schwichtenberg.
