Which genre is listed for Rayman M alongside party?

Racing is the genre listed for Rayman M alongside party.

Rayman M is a 2001 multiplayer-focused spin-off in which players control Rayman-series characters in competitive events. Its listed genres are party and racing, reflecting the game’s two major styles of play. The racing side has players navigate courses, avoid obstacles, and compete for the best position or time.

The game also includes battle-focused modes, which add arena combat and projectile-based competition. That combination makes Rayman M broader than a conventional kart racer, but racing remains one of its formally listed genres. In North America, the title was released as Rayman Arena, while the European title retained Rayman M.

A related game, Rayman Rush, was released for PlayStation in 2002. It is a demake of Rayman M that focuses only on racing, making the racing identity even more obvious. The answer is not role-playing, shooter, or puzzle: those genres do not describe the game’s listed classification.
