Which Game Pass tier will include Halo: Campaign Evolved at launch alongside PC Game Pass?

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will include Halo: Campaign Evolved at launch alongside PC Game Pass.

Microsoft uses Game Pass tiers to separate console access, PC access, online services, and day-one first-party releases. Campaign Evolved is planned for Xbox Series X/S, Windows PC, and PlayStation 5, with its launch Game Pass availability tied to Ultimate on Xbox and PC Game Pass on Windows.

The common mix-up is confusing Ultimate with Standard or Core. Game Pass Core is the former Xbox Live Gold replacement and focuses on online console multiplayer plus a smaller catalog. Standard is a lower-priced catalog tier, while Ultimate combines the broadest console and PC benefits, cloud gaming, and additional perks.

Campaign Evolved remakes the campaign of 2001’s Halo: Combat Evolved and is designed to celebrate Halo’s 25th anniversary in 2026. Its release strategy also marks a major change for the franchise: it is the first Halo game announced for PlayStation consoles.
