Which franchise debuted with Rayman Raving Rabbids?

The story behind the answer

The Rabbids franchise debuted with Rayman Raving Rabbids. The 2006 game introduced the mischievous rabbit-like creatures as antagonists and gave them a central role in Rayman’s new party-game adventure.

Rayman Raving Rabbids was originally conceived as a more conventional Rayman sequel, but development shifted toward minigames. The Rabbids’ comic behavior and distinctive screams proved popular enough that they eventually became the focus of their own series.

The franchise later moved away from the Rayman name. Rabbids Go Home, released in 2009, was the first title to omit Rayman from the branding and helped establish the Rabbids as an independent Ubisoft property. Far Cry, Watch Dogs and Just Dance are separate Ubisoft franchises, not descendants of this debut.
