Answer
Squid Game
Squid Game won Best Foreign Language Series at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards.
The South Korean series received the foreign-language television prize at the 31st annual ceremony. This television category is different from Best Foreign Language Film, which was awarded to Brazil’s The Secret Agent.
Squid Game was created by Hwang Dong-hyuk and follows contestants who enter deadly versions of familiar children’s games while competing for a large cash prize. The series combines survival-thriller storytelling with social commentary.
The program became a global streaming phenomenon after its 2021 debut. Its title refers to a Korean children’s game, and the series’ visual identity includes the geometric symbols associated with the competition’s organizers.
