Which fixture was scheduled for Monday 24 August 2026 in the 2026–27 Premier League opening round?

Fulham versus Chelsea was scheduled for Monday 24 August 2026 in the 2026–27 Premier League opening round.

The west London meeting was the final fixture of the opening round. It was listed for Craven Cottage, Fulham’s riverside home, with Chelsea travelling a short distance across London for the match.

The fixture completed a four-day opening schedule that began with Arsenal versus Coventry City on Friday 21 August. Five matches were listed for Saturday, three for Sunday, and Fulham versus Chelsea was the lone Monday fixture.

This London derby is distinct from Brentford versus Tottenham, another opening-weekend fixture that was scheduled for Saturday evening. It is also separate from the Sunday meeting between Newcastle United and Liverpool, which was one of three matches on 23 August.
