Which fixture was scheduled for 17:30 on Saturday 22 August 2026 in the Premier League opening round?
Answer
Brentford v Tottenham Hotspur
Brentford v Tottenham Hotspur was scheduled for 17:30 on Saturday 22 August 2026 in the Premier League opening round.
The match was the final fixture on the opening Saturday and was listed for live broadcast on Sky Sports. Brentford hosted Tottenham at the Brentford Community Stadium in west London.
The timing separated it from the three 15:00 matches earlier that afternoon and from Hull City versus Manchester United, which began at 12:30. It was therefore the late Saturday match in the first round.
Brentford won 3–0. The result gave them a strong start and added to the opening weekend’s victories by several home sides.
