Which fixture was played last during the 2026–27 Premier League opening weekend?

Fulham versus Chelsea was the last fixture played during the 2026–27 Premier League opening weekend.

The match took place on Monday 24 August 2026 at Craven Cottage. It completed the opening round after fixtures had already been played on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Chelsea won the west London meeting 3–2. The result meant the opening weekend concluded with a one-goal victory in a five-goal match, rather than with the only draw of the round, which had occurred the previous day between Newcastle United and Liverpool.

Fulham and Chelsea are both London clubs, and Craven Cottage is Fulham’s home ground. Chelsea’s home stadium, Stamford Bridge, is also in west London, but Chelsea were the away team for this fixture.
