Which film made for television won at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards after starring Renée Zellweger as Bridget Jones?
Answer
Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy
Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy won Best Movie Made for Television at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards.
The film stars Renée Zellweger as Bridget Jones, the central character of the romantic-comedy series based on Helen Fielding’s novels. It continues Bridget’s story as a widowed single mother raising her children while navigating a new stage of life.
The Critics Choice win placed the film in the television-film category rather than among the ceremony’s theatrical film awards. This distinction reflects how the work was distributed and classified for the awards season.
Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy is the fourth Bridget Jones film and follows Bridget Jones’s Baby. Its win was separate from Best Limited Series, which went to Adolescence, and from the film categories led by One Battle After Another.
